of sporting exercises or activity will know that warm-up is an easy
yet important activity, which you do at the start of a long, hard
practice session or before an actual performance.
Why is the warm up important?
The motive of warm up is to raise your energy
level so that you are recharged and fresh for a long session on
field. For example, a warm-up say at the beginning of a soccer game
gives a perfect opportunity for players to interact with coach and
improve their mental frame.
Most soccer coaches emphasize on mental preparation
and not mere soccer skills. Warm up is as important as soccer tactics,
or fitness. Successful soccer coaches consider it as an important
element and rely on managing for creating a positive, confident
state of mind for each player. It also gives them a chance to get
their pulse rates up.
After warm up, the players can put in their best
"performance through tactics like move visualization by rehearsing.
Players mostly after warm up are so aroused that they are then confident
and "ready for a challenge".
- Warm-up benefits in different ways like:
- Overcome distractions
- Help focus better
- Positive thoughts and throw out negative thoughts
- Perform preparatory ritual moves
If you do the same warm-up exercise days in and
day out then you will get bored. If they are always the same then
that won’t excite you so it is vital to bring in some variety
to interest you.
